We encourage you to help gather donations for our seniors. This is a great way for kids, families, to giveback by selling baked or lemonade, doing yard work, washing cars, collecting blankets, paper products, or making blessing bags for seniors. They will also have the chance to deliver these goods!

Can I Donate in kind goods?

Absolutely! THIS IS SO IMPORTANT!!!

lightbulbs
linens -queen or double- excellent or new condition- new bed pillows, sheets, towel sets, dish clothes, hand towels, bath rugs, blankets, mattress pads
vacuum small lightweight, swifter, and supply 4-6 of each
Gift Cards for Gas, Groceries (they love Aldi’s) Pharmacy, Uber, Restaurants
Laundry and dish detergent LARGE for Laundry for all to use (NO DISHWASHERS so no dishwasher detergent!)
Basic Hygiene, mouthwash, lotion, face cream, head and shoulders, hair nets, brushes, combs, deodorant, denture cleaners and adhesives, hemorrhoid creams, first aid supplies, fingernail clippers, tweezers
Paper Towels
Napkins
Toilet Paper
Flushable wipes
Baby Wipes
Depends
Paper Plates, silverware, solo cups
Dog and Cat food and supplies, bowels, toys, leashes, beds

If I donate how are the funds used?

To provide meals, transportation giftcards, drug store giftcards, and grocery giftcards, to help with car maintenance for the few that drive
To help with funding a laundry service for those that cannot make it to the laundry room or disabled
To stock community basic needs pantry at Whitehill Senior Apartments
To buy basic necessities that are on a request list.
To host activities and supplies for the seniors onsite such as: art class, bingo, supplies for events, cooking class, flower arranging, events for gathering community,

Team Volunteering Opportunities

Teams Volunteering, such as Metrolina Greenhouses and Lowe's, come out to support our seniors by spending time with them and beautifying the grounds around them. Help us continue supporting the seniors at Whitehill in Huntersville by providing two meals a week, meeting their basic needs, organizing activities and events, advocating for them, and providing necessary resources. Your donation can make a difference and be a part of our mission to help those in need.
