Join us to learn more about Seasons of Giving LKN, a community initiative that brings people together to support our senior neighbors in need. As you walk with us, you will have the opportunity to meet a diverse group of individuals, including widows, widowers, grandparents, and others who may not have anyone else to turn to for support and companionship.
Most of these individuals live alone and are rediscovering the joy of social interaction through participating in our programs and using the outdoor patio to converse, speak words of wisdom, and complain! Families and children are also welcome to join us on these walks, as the seniors in our community truly appreciate the energy, laughter, and playfulness that children bring.
Although they may be reserved and hesitant initially, our seniors are some of the most incredible and inspiring people you will ever meet. During the walks, they share stories of their past, aspirations, and losses, and they cherish the opportunity for meaningful conversation.
Come and experience the warmth, kindness, and generosity of spirit that define Seasons of Giving LKN, and meet some amazing people along the way!

- Book Club Hosting: Lead lively discussions and ignite a love for literature.

Through Donations and Fundraisers have helped to make the community come to life. Building a common area with a paver patio, gazebo, lighting, landscaping and rocking chairs, has been the perfect spot for gatherings and socialization.

We need your help to ensure that our seniors receive meals on Wednesday afternoons and Fridays at lunchtime. This will only take less than an hour of your time. You can sign up your work team, youth groups, families, Boy and Girl Scouts, or any other group.

Together, we are building a brighter future, where everyone feels connected and supported.Two incredible projects have been completed to enhance connection and accessibility for our seniors:
1. Partnership with Metrolina Greenhouses and Truist Grant building a Vibrant Conversation Space: A patio, cozy seating, and ADA-compliant paths create a welcoming haven for socializing and enjoying fresh air.
2. Multifunctional Laundry Hub with Huntersville Town Grant awarded in 2023: Upgraded for inclusivity, this space now includes a basic needs pantry, standing folding stations, and wheelchair accessibility, making chores easier and support readily available.

Team Volunteering Opportunities
Teams such as Metrolina Greenhouses and Lowe's come out to support our seniors by spending time with them and beautifying the grounds around them. Help us continue supporting the seniors at Whitehille in Huntersville by providing two meals a week, meeting their basic needs, organizing activities and events, advocating for them, and providing necessary resources. Your donation can make a difference and be a part of our mission to help those in need.
Christmas Meals turn to Weekly Meals!

This is one Christmas tradition that the kids talk about all year! They are the first to raise a hand and commit to serving the seniors of the community a Christmas meals, Nothing Bundt Cakes, and goodies can’t wait to join in and help out! The experience is like no other as they prep the items, make cards, organize and deliver. Their is so much excitement and joy that is felt by all as they run around, bringing Christmas carols and joy to the seniors during the holiday season!
